Taz Van Rassel

Biography

Taz Van Rassel is a self-described iconoclast recognized as a local legend in the Vancouver comedy scene. He spent his first five years growing up in Vancouver's West End near Denman and Robson. A longtime fixture in the improv community, Rassel met host Ryan Beil early on and is credited with mentoring Beil and introducing him to the world of improvisational comedy starting at the age of 17.

Rassel appeared as a guest during the fourth episode, "The Bakery." While sharing stories about his childhood neighbors and his professional ties to the hosts, he also appeared in several sketches. As a customer at the shop Yeast Meets West, he attempted to purchase a morning glory muffin using a malfunctioning self-checkout machine and engaged in a brief altercation with an employee once caught stealing.
