Improviser Sarah Ferguson stops by the show to talk about growing up in Airdrie, Albert and shares with us the most shocking rumour about what it means to leave your garage door open a little bit in her town. She creates our town’s first karaoke bar, Singing in the Main. She is also a former horse girl and so she builds our town a stable.

Welcome to The Outskirts, a new mini-series that looks at the outer reaches of our town. It’s a little darker, a little weirder, a place where freaks and lost storylines roam. Take a listen as Mark and Ryan introduce you to the residents of the Laughing Ghost Hotel and Gas Station.

Comedian Brad MacNeil stops by the show to talk about moving from town to town as a military kid. He teaches Mark about Gordon Korman. Brad also builds the town’s first video store: Kideo Video. Cool, right? We also expose an illegal slug ring that is having devastating effects on the arcades in town.

Our first ever guest, Pete Oldring (CBC’s This Is That), is back! He talks about his chickens and an exotic pet hospital in Santa Monica. He also revisits the fountain he built in Ep 1. We actually witness a “town perm” ceremony. And Peter answers one of your letters as legendary town advice columnist Barnaby Advises.

Taz Van Rassel is back! Our first returning guest. Mark and Ryan’s improvising partner from The Sunday Service, comes back on the show to update some storylines, specifically that of Bill Harris - a town resident who was caught stealing from local bakery Yeast Meets West. We also learn some troubling things about Party Island. Taz also inadvertently starts an Escape Room league in our town … which means our town has multiple escape rooms. We think.

It’s another round up and we got some excellent new additions from Townies. In this episode we: Build a hospital that has some serious prime time drama, visit The First Cut Is The Cheapest Hair Salon, go deep inside the Town’s pyrite mine, and have a meal at Mayor McDaddy’s restaurant.

Edmonton’s very own Syd Campbell comes on to tell us about their curiously named high school and their hometown bar The Black Dog. They name our town’s first street, build a bowling alley/office supply store, and build a piece of lore that involves the mayor and his wife that the town will NEVER get over.

Comedian, director and video game streamer Peter Carlone (aka Solid Content) comes by to build a viaduct right the through the center of our town, covering up a beloved ravine. He builds a Gregg’s pasty and sandwich shop, and a museum of unnecessary objects. He also tells an incredible story about being in a production of The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe.

Actress and comedian, Ese Atawo (FX’s Legion) talks about being super athletic, growing up in Nigeria and Toronto and her king-like laugh. For the town she builds a ski-hill and pitches an amusement park. Plus, a poorly crafted text has everyone in town thinking they’ve won a million dollars and gets them all talking about the 1995 film Major Payne.

Mark and Ryan host another mini-sode where they issue corrections, establish more rules for the town, and even read a listener suggestion for the town. If you want to get to know Mark better, this is the episode for you because Mark talk A LOT about growing up in New Mexico including the time he “auditioned” for a youth soccer league. They also build something called a Tot Lot for our town.
