Director and comedian Christine Bortolin is back on the show but this time in video! She tells us more tales of growing up in Burnaby and deep Coquitlam. She builds the town’s first parking lot and an amusement park that sets up shop there. We learn all about their main attraction “The Suck Ditch”. She also builds a Historical Village for our town, a restaurant that is strictly for extra marital affairs, and Ryan reads us a poem entitled “When The Mall Was Small”.

Comedian and creator Mark Little (Gary & His Demons, Picnicface) joins Mark and Ryan to talk about growing up in New Westminster, BC. Playing Mortal Kombat, meeting 80’s NHL-er Gino Odjick, and his pet rats. Mark Little builds a burger joint for the town called 20 Guys Burger and Fries, he starts a book club, and introduces a mysterious white van that abducts citizens. He also creates two more newspapers for the town: The Daily Tenor and Boobs .

Comedian and actor Tricia Black from the new Netflix series Wayward joins us to talk about growing up in Quispamsis, New Brunswick. They tell us about getting kicked out of choir in school, being threaten the town doctor/veterinarian, and the legacy of The Irving Family. Tricia also gives us our own rich, controversial family, The Munros. Tricia also introduces the idea of a rival neighboring town known as Townover.

Co-host of the show, Ryan Beil is put in the hot seat and we learn all about his upbringing in Vancouver and find out that he didn’t attend middle school because it doesn’t exist in Vancouver! He also tells us about his skiing past and decides to build another ski hill in our town: Guy Top Mountain. He also creates an extermination group called The Owl Team.

Mark and Ryan are back with an all new edition of The Outskirts. They begin in a flashback when the Laughing Ghost Hotel was just called The Pine Wood. We get a mysterious clue about “The Minotaur”. We then pick up the story with Engel, the man who faked his own death. We meet a chamber maid named Brenanda. And we end on a shocking cliffhanger when Pete goes into the labyrinth.

By popular demand, comedian and writer Alicia Tobin is on the podcast. She tells us about growing up in Pointe Claire, Quebec. She builds the town a windmill. We meet a very anal by-law officer who tickets off leash dogs, and we take stroll down Sad Lick River, where people go and park when they are sad.

The bad boy of The Town Show, Kevin Lee is back. And in true rebellious fashion he doesn’t say one thing that warrants a disclaimer. He does, however, create a new festival for our town called The All Night, which is a combo of The Purge and the solstice. He also builds a dinner theatre for the town called Act Chew The Story Zoo, which boasts an international buffet and a play that is very anti tourist called Rift Raft. He also talk about living in Alaska when he was twenty and spending most of the time reading Lord of The Rings.

Yeehaw it’s time for another round up. Mark and Ryan read your letters and play a townie’s voice note. The town gets an improv group, a toy store, a pirate parade that is a weird form of extortion, and the 1986 film F/X plays a pivotal role in this episode.

Tom Hill of Hip.Bang Comedy joins Mark and Ryan to talk about the 3 foot rock he had in his yard growing up in Edmonton. Then he gets really spicy about his hometown of Regina and tells us everything wrong with it. He build a Squash Club where the elite of our town make deals, he helps our town break a Guinness World Record, and he introduces a new restaurant called the Hands Only.

Mark and Ryan host a rare late night session and invite their producer, Chris Kelly on as guest! He talks about growing up in Winnipeg and why his home province of New Brunswick needs a glow up. He also creates the town’s first flag … although a new one might need to be made. Squint Lake gets a new piece of lore and a whole lot of new shows are made for the local radio station, including a show called Motorhead Baking.
