History
Lick Lake underwent a major transformation in 1994 when a very deep dark recess in the bottom of the lake was blown up with a series of bottle rockets. This action created a hole that served as the point where the tongues first started to come out.
Tongue Activity
The lake is a central hub for Tongue Time. Since the creation of the hole in the bottom, the tongues have inhabited the water, making it a distinct and memorable part of the local geography. Someone wishing to catch a tongue must use their own tongue as a lure.
